Grandma and Keaton at his 1st grade Christmas party.
"Lights on the Lake " display.

"These are all for me!"

We decorated A LOT of sugar cookies on Christmas eve.

Keaton begged to do a Gingerbread house this year! :)

Our "Surprise" Santa visit on Christmas Eve.

Getting ready to open some gifts!!!

Keaton bought gifts for the entire family including Grandma and Grandpa at his school store. He had the biggest smile on his face as he handed each person their gift!!! The joy of giving!!! :)

Sprinkling Reindeer food out on the front yard so that Santa could find his way.

Santa must have enjoyed his sugar cookies the boys left for him because they were all gone in the morning!!! :) (below)

This year for Christmas, Matt's parents were able to come out and spend the week with us. This is the first Christmas we have had visitors in NY and we were so happy to have them here. We started the week by having a "Snow Day" on Monday and school was closed. The boys were excited to have lots of snow to play in but Carson was a little sad because he was suppose to have his Christmas party at preschool that day and Daddy and Grandpa were going to go with him...bummer! On Tuesday, Grandma and I went to Keaton's school to help with his Christmas party. They sang songs, had reindeer pancakes, monkey bread and sausage, and had lots of fun stations set up in the room with crafts and games. Grandma and I were in charge of the "Grinch" masks. We were exhausted by the time we left!!! :)
On Tuesday night we did our Christmas tradition of going down to Lake Onadaga and driving through the "Lights on the Lake" display. We have gone each year and the kids still enjoy it! On Christmas eve, we decorated LOTS of sugar cookie cutouts Grandma made. The boys had so much fun doing this and even more fun eating them! I also purchased one of those pre-assembled Gingerbread houses which Keaton really got into. I definitely would recommend buying the pre-assembled one if you want to do this because it was a piece of cake to decorate and you don't have the hassle of trying to assemble the darn thing. After our Christmas Eve dinner, I got a phone call from my new neighbor who lives two houses down from me saying that her dad was dressed up as Santa and wondered if I wanted him to swing by the house to say "Hi" to the boys!!! Of course!!!! :) The boys' jaws about hit the ground when Santa knocked on the door and asked them if they put out their reindeer food yet? He told the boys that he would need all the help he could get finding our house. :) So as soon as Santa left, the boys went outside to sprinkle the Magical Reindeer Food all over the front yard. They sprinkled three bags full just to make sure he could find his way. When they were content with their sprinkling they came in to open up gifts!!! I will do a separate post on that!!! :)
