So we finally (after living here for a year and a half) made our way over to see Niagra Falls this past weekend! The boys did great on the 2.5 hour car ride. That's nothing compared to our 14 hour drive to Grandma and Bompa's house in Wisconsin! Although waiting in line to go through customs was a different story. We sat on the Rainbow Bridge to cross into Canada for about 35 minutes! I guess going on a Saturday it is bound to be a little busy! But if you are going to see the falls, the Canadian side has the better view!
The falls were beautiful! The kids thought it was fun to feel the mist coming off the falls! We didn't go on "The Maid of the Mist" boat ride because the line was a MILE long, but here is a picture of it.
Of course as adults you could stand there forever just admiring the beauty of the falls, but the little guys got antsy and hungry after awhile.... so off we headed to The Rainforest Cafe for lunch! Carson fell asleep on the walk over to the restaurant and continued to sleep through the wait for our table and food! Thank God! Things just sometimes work out perfectly! :)
We had a great day! I am thankful I wore my tennis shoes instead of my flip-flops with all the walking around we did!
